County Gate buildings
The station building at County Gate follows
the general design (Nuremburg Style) as buildings on the original railway.
We allowed for some small changes as we felt this would have happened on a
later section with a new local builder. The Harbour Authority buildings
are in keeping with typical buildings of that period.

Engine Shed

ex WD 2-6-2 Alco over the pit for maintenance. The Baldwin is steaming up. The shed is equipped
with an inspection pit and machine tools.

This building is typical of the period, with
an extension in brick and 'King Corrugated' built at a later date.
Goods shed

alongside. A Langley AEC Majestic, operated by Porlock Haulage, is loading
empty milk churns outside.
Station
This is typical L & B architecture in
'Nuremburg style'.
