We found one coach
in a 009 meeting which after detailing has joined the stock list. This is
No 6992 saloon brake with end observation. The is an example of a Golden
Arrow kit. The window size is under scale and other details are
incorrect.

We have also built a
number of Langley coaches. Again, there are detail and dimensional problems
although generally, they make up into an attractive model if none too
accurate.
The differences between
Golden Arrow and Langley are so great, it is impossible to mix them and
have a convincing train!

6993 third brake
Frustrated with the coaches available on
the market, new complete range of coaches are being built using
etchings developed by Neil Moss and ourselves. The first two coaches in
this range are now available to purchase. Once we have built the
required new coaches, our Langley and Golden Arrow coaches will be
sold on eBay.

Although there is a
general perception that the L&B was a 'spick and span' railway, this was
not the case by 1935 when much of the rolling stock was looking a bit tired. We have not painted all the coaches in quite the same green.
There were colour variations depending upon which Southern depot
supplied the paint, and also paint, at that time, faded quickly. A few
items of stock will look a lot better having been recently painted.
