- Sweet Alison ( Lobularia maritima)
- Upright perennial which smells of aniseed when bruised. Widely naturalised and
locally common in N England and S Scotland. Fern-like leaves are two or three
times pinnately divided. Umbels of white flowers with unequal petals appear May
to June.
