- Common Orache (Atriplex patula)
- Lower leaves have sides meeting at an acute angle at base, whereas those of A
prostrata agg have them with an almost flat base (i.e an angle of nearly 180°)
If this feature is not clear the two species are hard to tell apart. Bracteoles

female flowers.Uncommon, waste and cultivated ground
Other features: Bracteoles fused about halfway to base. Upper leaves narrow.
