- Wood For Get Me Not (Myosotis sylvatica )
- A garden escape, though native elsewhere in Britain. Rarely naturalised in
woods. May also occur as a casual in waste places or where thrown out from
gardens. The forgetmenots commonly grown in gardens are forms of this species.
Flower diameter c 6-10 mm
Calyx hairs spreading, hooked. Corolla-tube equal to or longer than sepals, so
that open flower is flat, not concave. Young flowers pink, not yellow.
Other features: Calyx in ripe fruit has stalk c 1.5-2 x as long as itself. Can
usually be told from Field Forgetmenot on flower size.
