- Field Madder ( Sherardia arvensis )
- Hairy annual of arable land and disturbed ground. Widespread; rather common in
the S but becoming scarce further N. Narrow, oval leaves in whorls of 4 to 6
along stems. Heads of pinkish flowers, each one 3­5mm across, appear May to
September.
