Baseboards
The baseboards
are constructed in 4mm plywood reinforced
with 1/2" square beech strips.
Correctly designed, this give a very light
but rigid structure.

Once the main
'box' was complete, it was time to mark out
the track. This was accomplished by laying
12" radius set track on brown paper and
marking out the track with a felt pen. It is
then very easy to transcribe the correct
curves onto the baseboard. Once the line was
established, holes were cut in the plywood
to allow for the track to pass through,
giving sufficient clearance to the rolling
stock.
